Once you book with us and pay your session fee, your spot is reserved. We send you a senior questionnaire to get to know you, and we tailor and design your shoot just for you, from locations to posing. After that, we will meet for your consult. We are there for you every step of the way, and we know you (and your parents/guardians) have enough stress on your plate during senior year…we handle it all! We choose your locations based on your desires, and your outfits. Please let us know if you have something very specific that you’d like to include, and we can discuss this at your personal consultation.

I know that weather can be tricky. Whether it is very hot or raining, we work with you to make sure that your session is comfortable and fun. We have experience working with a number of weather situations, and we carefully watch the forecast to know what to expect. If it is raining or very hot/humid, we will take breaks, or alternate between indoor and outdoor photos to ensure your safety and preserving your hair and makeup.

I want every senior to feel like themselves, and I steer clear of over-editing with my clients. I do require makeup to be done by a professional so that your photos are as gorgeous as possible (and you are camera ready). You may speak with our professional artist if you want a very light look, and it’s always our goal to highlight the natural beauty you already possess. If you have braces or acne that you would like to discuss with me, I am more than happy to walk you through some of our solutions so that you feel confident. 

I understand that many seniors aren’t familiar with having their photos done, or don’t feel comfortable with posing themselves. I will walk you through all of the posing and styling so that you look and feel your best! You will get a variety of posed photos and natural "magazine-style" images.

Wear something that reflects your typical style. If you are unsure what your personal style is, I am happy to direct you to classic, beautiful styles that will look lovely for years to come as you look back on your images. Ensure you have tried everything on beforehand, including all lingerie and undergarments, and that you are able to walk in whatever shoes you choose (without blisters!). Remember that you don’t have to wear what’s “cool or trendy”, but rather something that you love and feel great in. Please make sure to steam and iron/hang all your outfits and place them inside a garment bag for safekeeping the day of your session. Wrinkles really show up on camera!

If you have something special to include, such as a musical instrument, or sporting item (soccer ball, tennis racket), I’d love to help incorporate it. Please let me know when you book your shoot, or when we have our consult. I cannot guarantee that we can accommodate something if it is brought the day of your session, so please give us advance notice so we can design a proper location or pose for you!

I normally offer senior sessions in the afternoon but we can do morning and on a rare occasion an evening session. I'm able to find good light most times of the day and I also have lights that I can bring outside to create the perfect lighting so you look your best! 

Typically a session lasts 1.5 hours - 3 hours. You can trust me to get the shots you need. Some people take a bit longer to warm up for photos so it takes a bit longer. If you include sports with action shots it can sometimes be a bit longer and we will add on extra time for that. 

Yes! I love offering indoor photos so you can get that amazing classic shot. Then we head outside for fun creative photos with nature or rustic buildings for our backdrop. 

I know it sounds overwhelming coming to your order session without having days to look at your photos, but I've found that everyone leaves happy and relieved knowing all the decisions are done and you know exactly what you're getting. It is most helpful to make a list of the types of products you want before you arrive for your ordering session, so you don’t feel as stressed and forget something.
