Piper Turns 1!

Man, did that year go as fast for everyone else as it did me? Is it because I'm getting older? Or because my kids are?! I don't know but holy cow, I blinked and she was one! She is proving to be an easy going baby and always has a smile on her face. Last I checked she had 8 teeth... I haven't attempted to inspect lately. She does the geekiest fake laugh that I have yet to get on video because every time I try she stops (of course). She even does it to complete strangers, who usually smile and laugh back at her. I think she is secretly making fun of all of us adults in her face baby talking to her!

I'll give myself a little pat on the back, I made it just a week short of her first year breastfeeding. She made the choice and weened herself from both me and her bottle. I was more than ready to be done so I wasn't heartbroken, although it does make it feel like she grew up overnight! The girl just really LOVES her food, so it's made for an easy transition! We are amazed at how much she can pack in her tiny tummy, and we affectionately refer to her as "snacks" because the kid is constantly snacking and it never seems to interrupt her ability to eat a full meal.

She is still coming to work with me 1-2 times a week, but that will be coming to an end soon as more daycare space opens up. I've loved having her, but it's proved to be a little distracting as she is more mobile! Thanks to all my very understanding customers with my crazy schedule this year. Plus the Middle School and High School students that accept me bringing them on memory mate picture day. The soccer boys wanted Piper in the poster picture and the track boys ran 3 laps with Carson, which he thought was the bomb.com!

I've officially lived up to the reputation associated with having more than one child... I sent out last minute party invitations via text message... but you know what? It was perfect! I don't know how parents find the time to plan any further ahead! I envy their organizational skills, you're rockstars in my book! She was of course spoiled rotten and loved every minute of it!

Thanks again to all my customers for joining me on this wild ride of life! It seems surreal to look back at how "normal" the last year has been, considering how abnormal the year prior to this was. I'm so thankful to be where we are now!
