Where will life take this beautiful girl next? Mina is one of those seniors who has a quiet sweetness about her that you notice right away, and her mom is just as kind. I have been photographing their family for many years now, so getting to take Mina’s senior photos felt really full circle. Watching her grow over time has been such a joy, and this session felt like a celebration of everything she has worked so hard for. Mina shared that she felt comfortable right away and had a lot of fun during her session, which is exactly what I want for every senior. She said the compliments helped her loosen up, and she earned every one of them. There was no stress or pressure, just a relaxed session where she could be herself.
One thing Mina loved most was how the locations matched her outfits and overall vibe. I put a lot of intention into that, so hearing that meant a lot. She also mentioned how much she appreciated the guidance with natural posing, which allowed everything to feel effortless instead of stiff. Her session flowed so smoothly and had such a calm, fun energy to it.
Last spring, Mina also joined me for a stylized shoot that I created purely as a creative outlet, and she was the perfect fit for the vision. The soft spring feel, the fresh colors, and the artistic details matched her beautifully. It was one of those moments where everything just worked, and Mina brought that vision to life so naturally.
Mina describes herself as hard working, musical, and academic, and that could not be more accurate. She has been involved in band, jazz band, choir, fall play, spring musical, and both large group and individual speech. Performing is something she truly loves, and it has been such an important part of her high school experience and the friendships she has built along the way. I love that she said she looks up to her parents the most because they encourage her to always be her best, and that support is so evident in who she is. Mina is passionate about arts in schools because not every student connects through sports, and the arts create space for creativity, growth, and belonging. One of the biggest lessons she learned in high school was how to build healthy friendships, something that has made her life so much happier.
After graduation, Mina plans to pursue a future in medicine because she wants to make a difference in people’s lives, and I have no doubt she will. She already leads as a section leader in band and as a student ambassador welcoming new students to her school. Her favorite quote, “You are not alone. Share your story. Speak,” holds deep meaning after performing it at All State speech in 2024. Mina, it has been such an honor to photograph you over the years, and I cannot wait to see where your path leads next.
